iSane (a.k.a X-sane)

I wanna do a table of bands I have seen as well. It is in fashion at the moment.
| Band | Where |
| Ben Lee woohoo | Missy Higgins/Ben Lee Oct '05 |
| Missy HIggins | Same as above |
| Pete Murray | Falls '05 |
| Eskimo Joe | Showgrounds '06 |
| Youth Group | Falls '06 - Pretty good |
| Wolfmother | Falls '06 - UNBELIEVABLE! The mosh was the most danger I have ever been in, seriously! |
| Little Birdy | Falls '06 - Refreshingly great |
| Eskimo Joe | Falls '06 - Went off superbly again. Favourite band at the moment (sorry Killers). |
| Hilltop Hoods | Falls '06 - I'd pay again for these guys, lived up to all expectations and then a lot more. |

Bands I would have liked to see and the reason I didn't
| Wolfmother | Falls '05 | Didn't know the were awesome |
| Cat Empire | Falls '05 | Looking for a lost bag in the mosh pit haha |
| End of Fashion | Falls '05 | Wander randomly at falls and heard "Oh Yeah" playing, thought to myself "Hey, they are doing a cover of End of Fashion" and kept wandering wherever it was I was going |
Ok, its not much, but its going to be built up hehe. In compiling this i jumped onto the web and FGI'd for Falls '05 lineup to see who I could *remember* seeing. Wikipedia had a brilliant list of every group that played. I felt ill reading it. Still fell sick about it. I missed SO MANY bands (more from not knowing of them) that I would have loved to see. I hope Falls '06 lineup is similar. I have to redeem myself. I'm going to research each band playing and listen to as much of them as I can so I don't miss anything this year.
Falls 06 Report
After the last minute tickets and not knowing what to expect last year, this year I was ready, prepared to the max and counting down the months, weeks and days. I had the essentials packed, bread, ham, cheese, water, gatorade, berocca, nurofen, panadol and the band program. Most of that stuff was to prevent and deal with a hangover.
Hokai, so. We got to Falls at about 9:30am with an excellent camping position not too far away and on the flat. Setup and everything and prepared for the first day. We didn't BYO alcomohol so we had to wait until 12 before drinking which sucked a lot! And as such, in the spirit of Falls, you had to be drunk. So knowing that Youth Group were on early in the afternoon, I knew I had to get drunk and fast. Whoops.
Whether it was from drinking (only) 5 cans of smirmof ice fast, or lack of food or hydration or my constant cough, I crashed out with a ghastly headache. It came at the end of Youth Group and didn't go away for nearly 24 hours. At 7PM I was so tired and in agony, already having consumed 2x panadol and 2x nurofen in 4 hours. I went to bed. Slept for 2.5 hours and woke up with 30 minutes to spare before Wolfmother started. My headache had eased and I wasn't too tired, so I managed to get into the mosh for them (though sober by this stage). I have never experienced any mosh like this. I felt like a sardine. It was so tightly packed, I coulnd't move my arms from my sides to above my head. If the mosh jumped, you jumped. Entire sections of the mosh swayed like a dinghy, and at times you'd see this hole appear where a group of about 30 people all toppled over. It was actually dangerous, and my couzin from adfa made us evac about 6 rows back to be just on the outside of it. And so yes, as entirely expected, Wolfmother attracted pretty much the entire crowd at Falls into the same place for a gathering of people bigger than I have seen there. Needless to say, they were absolutely sensational and put on one hell of a show.
Then to bed at 12am for a good 8 hours of sleep. Headache went at 12pm the next day and eased into the drinking slowly this time. Now to cut a long story short...
Little birdy in the afternoon were great. Eskimo Joe on new years eve at about 10 were sensational, michael franti and spearhead were brilliant at midnight (though I was resting as they were playing so I wasn't really paying much attention to their actual performance) and hilltop hoods topped off an excellent lineup for new years eve.
All in all, no hangover. Incredibly tired right now and going to bed in a minute. My muscles are all sore, my legs are dead from the walking and partying and apart from my headache it was a brilliant event.
Goodbye Falls '06, it was great knowing you and I look forward to meeting your brother next year, Falls '07.

It had to be here (He's the one on the right).
Sometimes seen in this disguise.
Is apparently a general.
Why does he have a hat on a stick?!!?!?!
Probably cause it won't fit on his hair. Speaking of which, check out those sideburns.
