X-sane omg I'm torn. Like I have been ripped in half by two equally strong forces. But the bigger half has ended up on this side few.

Shadow - So...who's offering to give me a lift? :P Yo, I can give you a lift if it comes down to it. If someone coming past you can pick you up though then that'd be good. I should be driving past so I'll give you a lift. One way or the other.

J-Dwagg (tentative) - I may come for a while, but will not be consuming alcohol due to a pre-arranged hangover on that day and a need to be rested for an early start (9:00am) on Sunday. However can I assist Mr Pazu on the Food front (can come around and help cook as well as supply foods)? 

Cooking is all good - it's pretty simple stuff to prepare.  If you like you can take charge of the guacamole - either make it up and bring it or else bring along avacadoes + sour cream and make it up at my place (I have lemon juice and other bits).  Also - snacks are always a welcome contribution.

A stranger might even turn up! Crazy huh?

Mexican food is for all people - whatever their race, creed AND YES - gender!  Whether or not ladyfriends want to come and watch people play Xbox is another question.  Point being: ladyfriends welcome.

So, I'll take care of the meal stuff.  I'm thinking a big batch of beef fajitas.  I'll do some fresh salsa and mexican rice to go with it. 

You guys need to organise the other stuff (which is to say drinks)- we want margaritas and beer.  Our blender is great for crushing ice so we can get a margarita production line going.

Xboxes should be good - I've got three tv's which may be enough depending on attendance.  We'll need at least two more consoles + Halo, Gears etc.  Also a switch and some long cat5 cables.

If people want to crash there is one spare room with a single bed you can fight for but there is plenty of room for sleeping bags/mats around the place.  Sarah's folks are turning up at 1pm the next day so you have untill then to clear out :p

Feel free to add stuff to the tables.  I don't know what types of margaritas people want (I'm more for the beer myself) but we can figure out supplies.

I am happy to go in on margaritas but don't really have the interest in organising them. So if someone wants to ttake it and run with it, I'm in, otherwise I am happy with BYO. Also, in Mexico Cascade Draught is an import beer. I think there's something in that for all of us.

Tequila, triple-sec and lime juice + crushed ice is the basic mix - so organisation really only needs to be to the extent of making sure we don't end up with three bottles of triple-sec and half a bottle of tequila.  It'll only get complicated if people try and wrangle weird syrupy combinations.  I have no idea on amounts people plan to drink. 

 

Ok - people aren't much with the co-ordination...  We need another bottle of tequila and the ice.  Any takers?  Also - since we probably won't be consuming enough drinks to account for a bottle each then people should split costs.  Contributions to food are welcome too I guess.

Also - it occurred to me that I haven't specified a time that people should start turning up.  I figure we should start early and get some xboxing in before dinner and then poker after (and I need time in the morning to do some more shopping and stuff).  So say people rock up from 2pm onwards?

 

We're working on the house tomorrow so we weont be there till later in the afternoon. IMO we can look at chucking some money around to balance out what people have spent (food, drinks and narcotics).

Thirded. Will host at my house in a few weeks if people can ¬cbf driving to fern tree. Well I live in Mount Nelson, that's so close to Fern Tree we might as well be brothers.

Fourthed. How would we go getting together a few TVs and XBOXs for a raz? That'd be sweet I think... im not sure how well that sort of thing works for multiplayer.. Poker is cool too.

I reckon I could host this if people like.  I've got two (and a third in a box come to think of it) tv's and one xbox already.  Also a dining table big enough for cards.

Crazy Idea / Voltron Event

How about a combination of the two above events (why not include one of the below events as well?) as one super-event (that's the voltron reference) at my place?  I can cook a huge batch of fajitas (Pazu style - which is to say I cook them while wearing nothing but an apron) and we have a blender that chomps ice wonderfully (margaritas!).

The result is awesome poker/xbox/mexican/margarita night.  Thoughts?  Coming Saturday (30th May) would be cool.
