So this is awesome because Sigur Ros have released a new album... but while I'm on the topic, I'm really enjoying seeing more of this sort of stuff happening. Sure, they're not releasing it for $5 as a digital download like NIN, or for price as desired like Radiohead... but they're signed to EMI and yet they're trusting a digital pre-release method. I think we're witnessing a gradual shift in the way music is distributed and marketed... they just can't ignore these modern distribution methods forever. Most bands are making more money touring than from album sales, that seems wrong to me.

It's to do with accounting law. Unless they are getting residual payments (like they are with the iPhone), they can't actually give you new features for free. The price, on the other hand, is all them.

This game is funny and very addictive. The most notable thing about it is that it has made me realise how disastrous life wise playing WoW could have been for me. You are limited in the amount of 'adventures' you have per day (though you can get some extra ones and do stuff which doesn't use them up) which does a good job of limiting the amount of time that you can spend on it. It is the only game where statements like 'Knob Goblins fear my Moxie' and 'You slay the Bonerdragon with your lead yo-yo' make sense. I'm a level 8 Disco Bandit with Advanced Cocktail-crafting skills (I make a mean calle de miel). Man, 2005 called - he just wanted to say g'day Well 2005 can get stuffed. I know it's old but it's good. Besides, I've only just started playing it.

Wow, the american version of the office has alot of funny bit s in it!

You can't snipe on Carantan! Actually I've downloaded the first two seasons of the American version of The Office and it really is great. A couple of episodes into the first season the recycling of jokes from the British series completely stops and it's actually a significantly different show. Still utilises the same basic character types - insane boss, Tim and Dawn stand-ins, but the show has a different feel and is much better than most of the sitcoms coming out of the US. Seriously - download it, it is worth it.

Well bugger me... after the Sin City movie I figured I wouldn't ever see a more amazing film in terms of visuals. If the trailer is anything to go by Snakes on a Plane will prove me wrong in the best possible way. 'tis notable that Snakes on a Plane is, like Sin City, and adaptation of a comic by Frank Miller. Ok, so I now feel sick and have a headache! Not to mention my eye's aren't resetting those bloody colours! What the hell?? If you have buggered my eye bit-depth up, I hurt you. (Update: Nearly 24 hours later, it is still happening! I only looked at the colours for about 3 mins.)

Basically it seems to be a phychological thing, not an optical illusion. When I first went to the site I could see the green haze around the lines (though not the magenta) before staring at the coloured bit?!? After staring at the coloured bit i saw basically the same effect - so the coloured stuff didn't make any change. The differing behaviour for me might be due to me being partially colour blind though. It certainly is weird. Well it is an optical illusion (really) but it's based on a psychological effect rather than a physiological effect. I think it's very cool though, love the longievity.

Also, an official word from my spokesperson (me): "I am not an alien".

Some info also of note - as well as unlocking more weapons, you can unlock weapon mods - scopes and the like, and you can customize what your kit includes (like, what sort of grenades you want to take for this battle, what weapon with what mods, etc). Sounds awesome, but it'll be a game balance nightmare.

May have heard about the 'upcoming' game spore: here (you may have to browse for it) is an hourlong presentation on it, the majority of which is gameplay with narration. you do need to register with an email but there is no mucking around with passwords and having to check your mail and shit like that.
